This April I was lucky to fly to London to be a part of the first City of Colors Unity campaign, a brand which is based in the US. The whole campaign was produced by the wonderful collective Female Narratives, I am so happy to be a part of.
The brand CCUNITY is divided into 5 life-themes, which were presented by 15 individuals, everyone telling their own story and how they identify with their t-shirt theme. What I love most about the campgain is that it is SO incredibly authentic. I got to tell my own story about how I was able to overcome my fear to not fit into the society’s beauty standards because of my auto-immune disease alopecia areata and it was actually my first job as a model where I was allowed to be 100% myself. The campaign is not about perfection, it is about the struggles each individual has or has overcome, which makes you able to connect with each protagonist on a completely different level than it is with ordinary fashion brand campaigns. I am so happy that I got to work with all of those amazing people and I hope there are going to be more of those campaigns in the future!
